  • Valuation + Term Sheet Math - Real Time Modeling!
    Mark Mitchell, Clothier & Head
    Steve Kelley, Summitt Law Group

While many programs discuss the basic terms of a venture deal, few go into the real math, especially when it comes to linking both valuation and term sheet calculations. The math can be daunting to the first timer, where the total future outcome for the shareholders rides on how the valuation and terms both come together. It takes savvy financial engineering to play successfully in today's markets.

We will first hear from Mark Mitchell, a valuation expert with Clothier & Head on the valuation process for a venture deal. You will learn the steps to uncovering your company's value. Using the output from that conversation, VenLogic will drive a live valuation model to demonstrate the range of values that are generated for a given case. Next, we couple this to the legal expertise provide by corporate securities attorney Steve Kelley, with Summitt Law Group.

Watch as Steve presents the deal paths of this company scenario based on terms being done in today's environment, using the valuation numbers from above. Watch how Steve demonstrates the optimum retirement path for a founding team. Versus another scenario, which describes how adjusting a few term sheet factors literally removes any upside potential for the founders. Learn as Mark and Steve collaborate to help the company justify both an optimum valuation method AND deal terms. See for yourself how challenging it is to get the numbers financially engineered to your best advantage. Entrepreneurs need to come to grips with the importance of realistic valuation modeling, shareholder accounting, and forward looking deal modeling based on future investors' needs. Your net worth depends on it.

We limit seating to 30, so you can have a personal conversation with a very successful investor and executive peer network.
Fee: $45 in advance until Friday, 11.14.03 - $60 thereafter
Contact me if you have any questions. This will be another sell out. - Rob

"True abundance flows from enough; never from more."
Do you dream of making a difference on this planet?
Do you know that changing your relationship with money is part of making that difference?

In the Soul of Money Workshop, participants engage in a conversation and exercises to bring their relationship with money and the money culture into conscious view, examine our culture's dominant mindset and myths of scarcity, and explore the alternative "domain of sufficiency" that enables them to merge the arenas of money and soulful commitment to create a single, rich expression of life. Join Lynne for a private, interactive conversation with a group of peers.
Through Lynne's guidance and experiential exercises you can:
